Myrtle is an American tonewood, clear and bright, but with a bottom end much like rosewood. The Engelmann top best suits a more gentle touch. Great for fingerpicking with warm bass and complex overtones.

Wenge is a dense, dark-colored African hardwood with tonal properties remarkably similar to those of Brazilian rosewood. Redwood is warm, rich, & complex. It exhibits a less pronounced bass & more headroom than Cedar.
