The electric guitar. In it’s unplugged, dormant state, it’s still sexy…the way a tricked-out muscle-car looks fast just sitting at the light. Chock full of potential, the guitar can move people to tears, bring joy to the player AND the audience, and even insight riots! It’s a powerful tool, particularly in the right hands. Think about the way a particular phrasing by Chet Atkins can make you smile, or an unconventionally creative lick from Jeff Beck 
makes your ears do a double-take! Or the way you know with the first few notes of a sweet melodic solo that it’s BB King or Eric Clapton…without question. What about the Beatles and their classic Rickenbacker and Gretsch guitars taking the USA by storm on that fateful NY night in February 1964? Would they have made girls faint in the aisles if their domestic onslaught had been performed on sax and trumpet?
