What
is a standard piano move? The move of an upright piano no taller then
50" or a grand no greater then 6' in length. We move bigger
pianos but those are know as a special move.
For your move to be considered a standard move, the piano would be
coming from or going to the ground level of an easily accessible home
or building. The piano would enter/exit straight out without having to
be put on end or upright onto the key-slip. There should be no more
then 3 exterior stairs including the walkways and no interior stairs.
We'd be able to park our truck relatively close to the home or business
which would be located on a level lot within reason. The travel paths
for the truck and piano will be clear of ice, snow or other debris that
may hinder the safe move of your piano. |
The
area and piano travel paths outside of your home or business
will be either hard lawn or another surface that can handle the weight
of a piano on a dollie. Pianos are never carried.
The interior of your home or business is carpeted or is a hard surface
that will not be damaged under the weight of the piano. We can help you
determine this if you notify us in advance
Your move is going to be what it is, please be as accurate as possible
in describing it. This form is
helpful. If your move is not a standard one we can still do
the move, we just need to be prepared. There may be an adjustment to
the delivery cost. It's all about the size of the piano and the path it
travels.
